Ronnie is a schoolboy giving a class presentation about his personal hero: he the story of Hachiko, his grandfather’s dog.
During a train trip from Japan to the USA an Akita puppy off the cage at a train station. Professor Parker Wilson him and is captivated by the dog. He takes the puppy home, but no one him to reclaim the dog.
A Japanese professor translates the symbol on the dog’s collar: it HACHI, or good fortune, so, Parker to call him Hachi. Hachi and Parker develop a close relationship: he is now part of the Wilson family, as well as Cate, the mum, and young lady Andy, with her boyfriend Michael.
Everyday, Hachi Parker to the train station. Parker goes to college and Hachi back home, but he punctually in the afternoon to wait for his master. A lot of people witness this charming ritual everyday until one day Parker doesn’t return.
Hachi will continue waiting for his master every day, until the end. This example of fidelity and loyalty will touch everyone around and turn Hachi into a legend.
